Introduction
Current Work:
My work currently has several strands:
a) Lecturing in art history all over the UK.
b) Publishing small books through my own Fell Foot Press.
c) Researching public monuments in Cumbria and North Lancashire for a book in the Liverpool University Press series.
d) Editing an illustrated collection of letters from an artist to a curator.
e) Researching Cumbrian Artists in general: I have an archive of notes on several hundred artists (and images) which has accumulated over twenty years, and I am moving towards publication there. Probably in a series of small collectible books via Fell Foot Press.
f) Taking further the project Cumbrian Lives which I set up ten or eleven years ago but it has been in aspic since Durham 2000-03.
This is a collaborative project aimed at identifiying and writing up famous Cumbrians
who do not appear in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
This needs a website of its own I think.
g) Recording my existing publications and lecture events since 1987..
One of my Northumbria University lectures is online on their site (sound only). I aspire to put a couple of clips or even whole lectures on my site.
